Accounting Analyst


Reporting to the General Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst will:

  • Analyze journal entry requests and then enter and post data to the general ledger
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including recording any fees and/or correcting entries as necessary
  • Post daily cashflow worksheets and related entries
  • Oversee upload and posting of gift shop and other revenue to general ledger
  • Serve as backup for preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax analysis and payment
  • Perform monthly analysis of various other asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules for internal and external auditors
  • Assist with financial software upgrades to the general ledger
  • Serve as a backup for the general accounting staff in their absence for routine responsibilities
  • Perform related duties and special projects as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to work effectively with administrators on a professional level
  • Demonstrates an ability to prioritize and organize work, accurately and efficiently perform detailed tasks, and follow through to achieve deadlines and goals
  • Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to exhibit a high level of commitment to the job
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with computerized accounting software and intermediate to advanced level competency with Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Financial software a plus
  • Experience with non-profit fund accounting preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
