Manager of Accounting and Reporting

Our client is going through a very exciting growth period, having quadrupled in size over the last 2 years and pursuing an IPO and looking to bring on a talented accounting professional to take on a Manager of Accounting job in New York City. The company is going through all of the preparation to become a public company while also continuing on this impressive growth trajectory. This is a great time to get on board! There is also an equity component of the compensation package with a very large upside.

The Manager of Accounting will be heavily involved in managing the company's accounting and reporting, managing a small team. You ll be involved in the month end close, P&L; reporting, variance analysis, etc. Will also take part in the company s development of a SOX framework and will assist in the ongoing requirements around their S-1 filing, their IPO and financial reporting post-IPO.


  • Must have an active CPA license with 3+ years of experience working for a Big 4 or national CPA firm
  • 5+ years of total accounting experience with current management responsibilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, SOX, SEC
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic, growing corporation where the structure can be ever-changing

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
